A 2001-2004 ls6 cam with 1.8 roller rockers? Would this work with out any ill effects? I've seen people gain as much as 18hp from roller rockers.

As long as you do springs and pushrods too I don't see a problem using the 1.8 rockers besides lower valvetrain life. I don't think you would gain 18hp though from the increased ratio and the roller rockers but should give a good increase.
