Default pickup bolt

so ive been trying to find the culprit to my oil pressure problem and found it finally. but when i took off my pickup tube bolt its all chewed up around the threads. i think my chain came in contact with it. any way to solve this problem? idk if shimming my windage tray down would have caused this since i am using the 4.00 crank. anybody have any solutions??

Are you talking about the bolt holding the pickup tube to the pump? How did the chain come into contact with it? If it is a double roller chain, it should have come with shims to clearance the pump from the chain.

yes that bolt. i am using a katech c5r chain and the high volume high pressure pump that ligenfelter sells. could it bee from shimming my windage tray down? and that caused my pickup to get pushed farther down to? how do i go about fixing this problem
