sscam68, We check all blocks for being square. It is included in the price. That is why I listed if the block needed to be decked we would and we try not to have any where we take more than .005" off the deck.

Thanks,

hey guys, um, i don't claim to be an engine guru but, aren't you supposed to
finish hone the bores to each piston to ensure proper piston to wall clearance?

Silverz98, I can do 6.0 liter for the same price. No problem there.

Owenmustang, today's pistons come with the clearances built in them. So all you would have to do is order your pistons for the specific bore of your block. The piston to wall clearance will already be built in to the pistons. About a decade back or so, you did have to hone your bores for your pistons.

LS1perfcar, The blocks come with the housing bores all set to go. They are all within the GM spec's for housing bore size. The only thing that you would have to do is check your bearing clearances.

Keep the questions coming, they have been very good so far.

Thanks,

Carter, glad to hear it. Just let me know when you ship that crank so I can be looking for it. Call me and let me know when you want that block. I will try to get one done in the mean time.

99 blackbird T/A, Most of the time the LSx blocks do not need to be decked. We only deck them if the deck is damaged or warped for some reason. I have a crak waiting for you. Let me know if you need anything else.

Slow 346, I will look for your email.

Thanks,
