On my way to work the other morning I happened to notice that the stock oil pressure gauge was reading a little to the left of 20 I was almost to work when I noticed it so I let it cool and came back and checked the oil, made sure nothing was leaking etc. When I cranked it up again it was higher than 20 but lower than where it normally is..... The motor is sounding like it always did with no additional noise at least from what I can tell by running true duals with no cats
. I'm going to hook a mechanical oil pressure gauge up and if it's correct then I'm going to change the oil pressure gauge sending unit. If that's not it I guess I'll have to take a look at the pump. It's a aftermarket pump with less than 15,000 miles on it.
Has any other member had a similar issue happen like this? If so what was the problem and what'd you do to solve it?
Thanks for any help.

Did you put locktite on the bolt that holds the pickup tube into the pump? Mine did the same thing last month. The next day I developed a loud knock that turned out to be a lifter that was missing a roller. Once we tore the motor apart we found that the bolt that holds the oil pickup tube had came out causing the tube to come out of the pump. Best case scenario it's something like that and you catch it before anything bad happens.
