I dont see why you couldnt.

As long as the rod touches the cylinder wall then you have something to weld to. Would be a cool as table for sure, post up some pics when you are done.

I knew it could be done just wasnt sure if the sleeves are steel or aluminum. The difference would be getting a buddy to weld it or pay someone to. Maybe I should have said that in the first post. I sure will. It could be a while though.
