Default engine taps bad after track

I have a bad tap now but i cant tell were its coming from, sounds like both sides of the heads maybe. It also stalls out some times now and idles about 200-300 rpm lower.

It must of been doing it last night because it did stall alot but i didnt hear it. So i'am sure it runs fine wot still and i dont hear a mis at cruise.

Anyone have an idea

Sounds like a spun rod if that's happening, take a thick piece of wood I use a shovel handle that has been shortened. Put it on the intake then put it up to your ear and listen and do the same to the oil pan and whichever is loudest is are Ur problem is at.

I'll try sunday with the jack handle seems to work good. Also its a 98 engine 140,000 miles, stock heads, lifters , rockers. Tourquer v3 cam

Car ran 11.28@121 last night and made it home after that so i hope its not a rod.

Looks to be the same good oil pressure. I'll pull the valve cover sunday. sounds to be at both heads and the bell housing of the trans.

Two things, valve springs and pushrods. The valve springs get weak with mileage and if you were racing and hitting the upper RPM limit I would say you have bent pushrods. Check those first. If they are bent and you have the original valve springs, upgrade the springs while it is apart with some LS6 springs for about $60. Also, if the pushrods are bent then there is also the potential for a bent valve. A leak down test will answer that one.
