Hi everyone, I just swapped my oil pan from a stock CTS-V pan to an F-body pan. The inside of the CTS-V pan I took off was flawless and smooth. The F-body pan I ordered from a Chevy dealership had really rough casting marks and slag on the inside bottom of the oil pan. It's pretty rough on the inside surfaces. Should I get the inside of the pan bead-blasted or does this even matter for oil flow? Has anyone else seen this type of thing before?

Considering the oil is just draining into the pan the rough casting won't have any negative effect. My brand new pan from GMPP sounds exactly as you described.
