Default Cam Question

We have a 02 Z28 M6 and my friend has a Comp Cam from a 6.0 LS2 Goat. Question is will it work in a LS1 and what mods need to be made, if any?

it will work fine and will go in with no problem you just need all the supporting hardware for it like proper push rods and springs and any other maintenance items your going to replace like oil pump or lifters and of course bolts and gaskets. That cam btw is pretty big for a ls1 and will be somewhat lazy till later in the rpms like 3000 to 3500 so i dont know what you intentions are with the car.

It's a 02Z28 M6 were swapping into a 240 SX it's a weekend toy. Someone said the LS1 ans LS2 cam sensors are in differnt places or something. Yeah I have a MS3 in my 98 bolt on TA A4 with a 3200 stall and 3.73's and I was going to use the same pushrods, patriot dual spring kit, double timing chaing and ported LS6 pump I have in my car on this motor bit my friend was selling this cam since it is too small for his new built for a good price, Just was wondering if this sensor thing was a issue or not? My friend wants a big cam since I have one you know how it is. Any help is great I'm more of a auto painter than engine builder but since it's on a stand and not in the car it's mod time. I like working on my 93 5.0 other than that I have a friend who owns a Vette performance shop that I traid work for sometimes and he keeps my TA in top shape.
