Cheap shortblocks Hey guys who sells the cheapest shortblocks? Are how much should a rebuild cost? i just want to do something bout my 127,000 miles motor, and i hate the piston slap to. Dont need a stroker are any just something fresh with no piston slap.
We are pretty competitive on pricing on both short-blocks and long-blocks. However, most of the engines we build are forged internal motors. We don't do factory short-blocks or take-out motors. Let us know what you are looking at and I'm sure we can get you setup with something to meet your needs!

If you have a shop do the rebuild it's gonna cost similarly to a new short block because of the shop's overhead costs. So, if you can do most of the work & just have a shop hone the cylinder walls & polish the crank you're good, as long as the main & cam bearing bores are aligned. Not knowing you & based on the info in your post, a new short block seems like the best solution. There are several sponsors on this site that can help you. Links are to the right of the page.
