Default How big can you go w/ hydraulic cams?

If everything goes as planned, I hope to be building an alluminum 427 soon. I'd like to get the most out of it without going to a solid roller setup. So how big can you go or recommend going with a max effort hydraulic roller setup?

Max effort? Lets try 250-252Dur at about the same lift you got 620 on a 112. What kinda compression you want to run 12-12.5 to 1?

I was thinking along the lines of 11.5-12:1. Any higher than that, how streetable would it be?

How is the long term reliability and maintenance on that setup?

Silent I feel confident you won't need anything that big. Depending on what rpm you want the power and how good the heads are along with the mechanics of what is used to build the engine will determine the camshaft profile.

On a 346ci I've seen 550fwhp with a 262/262 @ .050" .610" lift 103LSA Hydraulic.

Yeah, I don't think I'd be brave enough to try a cam that size. Seriously though, what kind of maintenance does that setup require? That's got to have one of the meanest loping exhausts around!

The guys at F1 Performance are a great bunch of guys. I'm about 500 miles away in another state. I've had some great conversations with them. I've also heard a lot of good things about their works in LS1 circles too.
