Buying a 2002 Z28... I'm currently looking and about to buy a 2002 z28 from a dealer around me. When I went to take it out for a test drive, I noticed there was a small valve tap coming from the driver side head. The car has 49,000 miles on it and I'm just wondering if there are common problems with these valves. Or is it just from a dealership putting whatever oil (possibly not enough) or just from sitting on the lot in the cold weather. The valve tap does go away after it warms up though.
mine did the same when i bought mine from a dealer last year. see if they know what kind of oil is in there. turns out the place where i bought mine was using 5w30 so i went to 10w30 and the noise wasn't as loud if not gone at times. i do live in texas so during summer i bump it up to w40
