Default How high to spin Torquer 2?

Hey guys, just curious, and yes i've searched, what do the t2's usually peak at? Car setup is:
LS6 block(rebuilt)
Stock 241's with the TSP PRC spring kit
TSP Torquer V.2 cam(232/234, .595/.598)
LS6 intake(factory)
lid
LT's(no cats)

I know on texas-speeds website is is recommended to 6400 but was just curious for those who have dyno'd their cars and where their peak actually was

And any HP/TQ guesses are welcome

Thanks guys

62-6300 is a good average peak from what I have seen so shift 3-4 hundred higher for the best shift extension.....

Awesome guys thank you.

Until it hits the dyno I doubt it will go over 6300 or so just because.

i just dynoed my torquer 2 it made peak at 6100, but thats with the smaller truck valve heads. so maybe 6300 for you.

I would expect the cam to peak 6200-6300 on properly setup car and then shift about 6500 or so. You will know more where you will need to shift it once you get it to the dyno and see where it is peaking for sure with your combo. You typically need to shift 200-300 after peak HP but that can also depend on how well it carries out.

I shift at 6500. When I had it dynoed we only ran it to 6000, and it still had a little life left, so I would expect 6500 to be a good number.

Depends on how much advance the cam has. Mine has +2 ground in, and carries Max HP to 6600+, I have my shift light come on at 6800 and my rev limit at 7100. I dont take it up there all too often since I have stock rod bolts. If your torquer has +4 ground in, peak HP will occur a couple hundred RPM earlier.

Here's my dyno graph, and as you can see, its still carrying power past 6600 RPM.

I definitely thought LSA/ICL came into play here. On my 6.0 with a T2 on 113+3 I seem to remember it peaking earlier than most of the more common grinds.

Thanks again guys and like I said, since I'm not 100% sure I'll just go ahead and keep it fairly low until it hits the dyno. Ill probably take it to automotion in Louisville once I get the extra money.

It's a freshly rebuild 04 LS6 block so I'm assuming it will be fine to turn to mid/upper 6's, but those runs will be few and far between even if that's where the most optimal shift is...

I guess I will not know for sure until then

It's tuned now and idles beautifully at 900. Drives great and has almost no surge even bogging it really good so I assume the street tune is pretty darn good.
