Default should i get the block checked.

My lifter spun out of the tray on the way home from a movie with the gf last night. I had no choice but to keep driving on it and get home :/ I only went pry 30 miles if that all on the highway at 1700rpm.

Wheni pulled the head the pin on the lifter had come out a bit too so i have to pull the cam to get it out anyways. Should i take the block down to bare and have someone check it out or should i just check the bore with a dial bore gauge and get new parts for it.

I drained abou 1 cup of oil from the pan the next day and there wasnt any metal flake in it so i dont think it hurt too much

thanks

Your probably good on the block.. just check for any signs of scarring on the cylinder walls etc. Get some stronger ls2 trays in there as well.

The cylinder bore, piston, head all look fine. Im going to put link bar lifters back in and completely do away with the tray problem
