XR275HR vs 228R?
I'm still in search for a cam for my 2002 Corvette Z06. Currently I have
shorties on the motor but long tubes are coming. I also have the Borla
Stingers and the Halltech Venom CAI. I've kind of narrowed it between 2
cams, the Comp XR275HR (54-426-11) and the Texas Speed 228R, both with 112 LSA.
I can see the difference in the numbers but I know that you guys can tell me what the
difference will be in my motor and the difference that I will feel. The car
is not a daily driver but I want to keep it very drivable, it's not going to
the track and will not be raced. But when I drive thru a Car Show I want
everybody to notice it (or at least turn their heads). I'm sure interested
to hear what you guys say. I will also be replacing the springs, timing
chain and probably the oil pump when I do the change out. One more thing, I
see that Texas Speed's kits come with pushrods, springs, retainers & locks. Can I use
my stock retainers and locks and save some money or is it just not worth it?
Can I reuse my pushrods?

The 275hr is a good cam thats what I was running in mine. And I got a 12.0 stock suspension full waight but it is a baby and intended for someone whos a daily driver. And yess u got to replace ur vaulve train and use new retainers, locks, pushrods, ect. Not worth the damage if u dont
