Possibly bent valves, now what When I reinstalled my crank and cam I intalled them out of sync, and I think I bent some valves. I my took my heads to a local machine shop, and he said it would be $160 for a valve job, (which I would have to reassemble them) and 350 total to have them cleaned up and reassembled. He also didn't think I bent any valves, just from looking at them. Does 350 seem like a resonable price to have the head taken apart, valve job done, and reassembled?

if the heads are off face the intake ports up and fill them with solvent and mark the level of fluid.if the the fluid level goes down after a while you probably have a valve leak.do the same with the exhaust.
I think 350 its a little too much here in Arizona the shops charge in the 240-275 to rebuilt your heads that includes cleaned up, valve job, new valve seals, resurfacing and reassemble
A shop I use regularly for head work full disassembles the heads, cleans everything up, check all tolerances, does a vlave job and reassembles for $120 a head. So 2 = $240.

I took the springs off and the valves out already, so i can't check to see if they are leaking.
Im gonna call some shops and see what kinda prices other places have. I thought 350 seemed high
