blocks !! 5.7 tech. info needed

blocks !! 5.7 tech. info needed

I am no wrench turner ! A friend of mine posed a question, can a 5.7 carburated block be converted into an LT-1 platform ?

Now I pose this question to those that know something about engines. Can it be done ? Is it worth it ?
What are the pro's and con's on this subject ?

No the LT1 is a reverse flow cooling system & there are differences in the timing chain area for the water pump drive.
The blocks are much different.

Thanks wrencher, Now I'm back to my first choice and locate a complete
LT-1 or LS-1 engine with 6speed manual.
