MS3 vs HPE S cam
MS3 vs HPE S cam hey guys im gettin ready to do a cam install on my 2000 SS M6....I narrowed it down to two cams the MS3 and the HPE S cam...please do not try to steer me different then these two....im just wondering who is using or who has ran the MS3 or S cam in the past, I would like to know which one pulls harder and makes more power.....thanks

I ran an S cam on my LS1 GTO, a while back. It made sick power, but with a 3600 TC the rwtq #'s were low, BUT... at 386rwhp/339rwtq it ran 7.50's (1/8 mile) N/A and 7.20's (traction limited) on spray (about a 100 shot) @ 3800lbs. Sounded awesome and was not too bad on the skreet.

i have the ms3 in may car had it in there about a year now an put many of hwy miles on it an got about 27ish mpg its an awesome cam an sounds nasty, my car put down 401whp 396tq all i have is LT spintech exhaust an gears ull love it
I have the MS3 cam in my car. It has been in for 30k. Havent had a single issue. I drive it on 900 mile road trips every year down to myrtle beach. The car makes 412rwhp on stock 241 heads, stock intake manifold through a motive 4.10 gear. On the 100 shot, it makes 517rwhp.
The power the ms3 brings on is awesome. 3800-7k it keeps pulling and pulling.

I ran the MS3 for 5 years. Even on a crappy tune it performed awesome. There has Been a debate about the S cam being a copy of the other. Either way. Properly installed and tuned you wont know the difference between the two.

I have an MS3 cam with a 113 LSA in my 4,000 lb CTS-V, and I love it! Its my daily driver and has great street manners. Once my LS6 hits 3800 rpms, you better hold on! Haaa. Its pulls hard all the way to 7k.

That debate works both ways but as I have already stated, both are great cams.
Actualy both of them are copied after another grind 
yeah im prob gonna go with the MS3...they seem to be alot cheaper if you buy one of there cam packages....I can get the MS3 with whatever LSA I would like, PRC valve springs, pushrods and lifters for $689

I have a MS3 113LSA with a 3200 stall and 3.73's and it's fun to drive and sounds great. Still working the tune and have to dyno it. No track times till I can get a new rear and Dr's. Even with the small 3200 stall the 3.73's get it into power quick but the tires break loose easy. But ya after 3500 rpm the cam just pulls all the way to the 6500-6600rpm shift point I have it set at. With a M6 you may want to get some 4.10's since the cam is lazy under 3000.

I had the stock 3.42's in my car with the ms3 for about 20k, then I figured I would have 4.10's installed. I am going back to 3.42's. The 4.10's absolutely kill this cam if its not strictly a drag strip car IMO. 3.73's with the M6 would be a better choice. Not to mention when im spraying, I need to shift every 3 seconds.
