Default Cam install question for A4

I was looking over the ls1howto on how to do the cam swap. I am planning on starting to remove to radiator and crankshaft pulley today and tomorrow. I was just peaking around the crank pulley area yesterday and noticed that the transmission colling lines run in front of the crank and was wondering if those have to be removed before i can take to pulley off or if i can just leave them attached. If not how do I go about removing them. Thanks

On the passenger side of the oil pan there should be a small bracket that bolts into the bottom of the oil pan. Then on the center-most part of the alt bracket there should be another small bracket. These two are what hold the lines in the fixed position. Remove or loosen both of these brackets and you can push the lines down far enough to work around them. No disconnecting is necessary.

If i remember right (Its been a while since i pulled my engine) but i believe the lines can just be slid out of the hangers.

Its easy to remove the lines completely. They have clips that hold them into the transmission......similiar to how the harness attaches to the fuel injectors.
