Default Can someone measure something on their engine for me?

Does anybody have a crank laying around or an engine assembled without the rear cover on? I'm trying to figure out how far to seat the rear main oil galley plug. This is a frost plug type metal seal that sits in the back of the crank. It is behind the pilot bearing. If you look into it you can see a ridge where the pilot bearing seats up against. Beyond this ridge is where the seal goes. If you could measure how far beyond this ridge it goes in, or from the lip where the flexplate flywheel goes on that would be great. I've pounded it in until it's about an 1/8 inch beyond where the pilot bearing ridge is.

If nobody gets to you before I can, I have a stock crank out of an LS6 CTS-V at my shop. It will be tomorrow evening before I can measure it and get back with you.

1.1" from the step where the pilot bearing is

1.7" from the rearmost edge of the crank (flywheel lip).

Thanks. That's an awesome diagram. I'll crawl underneath the car and measure it up.
