I just had a lifter tray fail in my car and take out my motor :/ im going to the morels, never heard a bad thing about them and with the link bar getting rid of the plastic trays all the better

Only way that I know a lifter tray can fail is if its so worn it allows the lifter to turn in its cup. Which usually means they should have been checked & most likely replaced if the heads came off for a H/C install or new lifter install.
Once that happens the lifter will tear the cam up as its no longer pointing in the correct direction for the cam to roll over the tip of the lifter as designed.

o mine just had the one random hole in the back and the hole driver side of the motor was burnt like the head valve cover everything on that side was darker and more burnt than the pasenger side that looked new.. i dont think it caused any real damage tho..
