Default Help, use my current LS1 shorblock or LS2

I kind of need some help, I've been debating this for some time now. My car has about 120k, has no bolt ons other than lid and exhaust. My question is should I install my head and cam package on my current shortblock or install on my LS2 shortblock that has about 10K, meaning will it hold up, if I use the LS2 shortblock whats the HP gain vs using the LS1 shortblock. Also Should I run the 228/230 cam or get something like a 224 cam, I hardly drag race and I'm not looking for huge dyno numbers just a good street car with nice throttle response?

I have a set of 215 tfs CNC heads, 228/230 cam, 1.7 YT, and an LS6 intake.

Vehicle is a 99 SS M6, with strange 12bolt 3.73's. Thanks for the help

Do a compression and leakdown tests, based upon results, make a decision.

Is there much of a HP difference in going from LS1 to LS2?
