Surging at cold start and loud backfire at cold start up.

Surging at cold start and loud backfire at cold start up. Ok, a few days after christmas my car started surging(rpms going up and down) after a cold start. When trying to pull out of my house I have speed bumps and when I disengage the clutch in neutral the car stalls, fumbles and drops really low rpms. Sometimes, it even dies.
The tune was spot on before this started happening. I think it might be a leaky injector from what me and another buddy where reading on here and what little we know together lol. He's enrolled in mech tech school and his teacher thinks it's an injector problem.
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. Just trying to track it down lol, it's always something haha.
Car is a 02 btw completely stock fuel system...

Does it get better as the car warms up, or does it run like that all day? Sounds like the colder ranges of the base running airflow tables in the tune are off... Ive had many cars with tunes that were spot on in warmer weather, but get all confused and stumble, search, and stall once winter hits.
Any surging is always worth looking over the vacuum system. If you have the stock PCV, I'd bet that thing is dry rotted. If your vacuum is solid, do a scan and see what your tables look like. That should tell you.
