heres the story. i have a 04 chevy express 2500 with 4.8 engine. it has 221xxx miles on it and has just started making knocking noises when first started, and also smokes a little when started. both problems go away after about 30 seconds but it worries me because i drive this for work and usually travel 3 and 4 hours each way. i want to put a 5.3 or 6.0 in it so i was woundering if there is a sponsor here that sells reman long blocks? im not concerned about the tune because ive got that covered already. thx, shawn

forgot to mention. there had been some coolant lose that i cant figure out but havent really investigated.

yea i saw those engines but really dont want a built motor in my work van. would prefer a stock replacement.
