Default Problems running both 243 and 799 heads?

Hey guys,

So I have one 243 head and one 799 head. The set of 799's dropped a valve and I got a good deal on a bare 243 by itself so I picked it up. I have the compete set of valves, rockers, and the rocker trays that the rockers sit in from the the 799's. My question is can you forsee any problems running one 243 and one 799? I plan on taking them to a shop and getting them milled .030, cleaned up, and a valve job prior to me installing them. What would be a reasonable price for that?

I'm fairly new so thanks for bearing with me. -Matt

I don't think you will have any problem.

Any idea on a rough estimate of what it will cost me to get them milled, cleaned up, and valve job?

My guess is between $200 and $300, but it varies a lot from area to area. If you can find a small shop that is not busy you might do better.
