Default What pushrods to go with

Ok so I am doing turbo 4.8 build. I ordered a custom ground z06 cam specs: 204/214 with 550 lift on a 116 LSA... I think I am going to go with 317 heads with ls6 springs. (are those springs good for this build?) question is: what size pushrods would I need if I go with that setup? Also, would I need a stronger timing chain? Anything else engine-wise?

Thanks

You will need to measure for pushrod length, feel free to search and find a measuring method, there are several.

Stronger timing chain falls within the "while I'm in there, whats $XX more for piece of mind?" and is definitely more on the required side of that spectrum...

As for other items....common extras on cam install include a new oil pump (you're right there, might as well), titanium retainers, if you are putting in new heads then lifters are right there...... List goes on, search is your friend, like 40% of the posts in LS1/LS6 internal deal with these approximate questions (cam & heads stuff)... which is prolly why 17 of the 18 people who viewed this thread before me and knew the same answers I gave just passed by instead of posting....

Alright thanks. I've already read a bunch of threads and did research it was mainly the pushrods question seeing that it is pretty specific, I wanted to see if anyone had done anything similar. Pretty much just wanted to know specifics on the other stuff too... But thanks for being patient and not posting "use the search feature before you post" like I've seen on many other threads.

You must measure. Its the safest way.

I would measure it out with a pushrod length checker. Even the same setup on a different motor can sometimes need a different pushrod length.

I would run something better than LS6 springs based on the number of failures have I have encountered on CTS-V and Corvette forums where is there a lot of stock LS6s. Better springs would also lead to hardened pushrods and a timing chain grade upgrade. I'm sure Texas Speed could put together a cooridinated set of stronger, but not too exotic, components to compliment your turbo build.
