Why would I have bought hardened pushrods for a stock internal car? Sure, if I would have gone H/C I definitely would have.

Hardened pushrods would be money well spent IMO.

^^tsp, thunder racing, vengance, or any sponsor to the right>>>

and hardened pushrods are 100 for the set, well worth the money instead of thousand for a new motor.

but its your car...

I work at a gm dealer and have run in to it many time in 4.8 and 5.3 engines. buy you some hardened push rods dont worry to much about the lifter bore in the head it will be fine like it is. A back fire or rev limiter can cause this.
