How strong is a stock LS1 Bottom end?

Default How strong is a stock LS1 Bottom end?

How much power will a stock bottom end of an LS1 take? (crank, rods, pistons)

its (Usually) not Power that kills a stock bottome end its RPM keep it under 6500Rpm and it will live a long time with alot of power. Look at QMPs site they have a 700rwhp+ Stock LS1

Yep, all of the failures I have seen so far have not been from power. It is usually from the weak rodbolts (>6300RPM) or from detonation killing a piston.

Detonation will do it real quick. On a road course its usually the result of: hot day (80* and up -- nothing you can do about that except be aware of the possibility of detonation), failing to use the track's 100 octane--always use it--cheap insurance, using the stock stat--spring for the 160* one, using the stock platinum plugs (they retain heat) -- use NGK non platinum, and using the stock radiator when you've installed performace mods such as heads + cam. HP = heat. Need to get rid of it and use high octane to avoid detonation.

Good advice above. I understand the lower ends are good to 500hp, then the rod bolts and oil pump become suspect. ARP and ported oil pump are bare minimums beyond that.
