LS1 combustion chamber/piston question
I am building a new LS1 for my 98 Trans Am. I am using Trick Flow GenX 220 heads with a 64cc combustion chamber. I want the compression to be at or a little above 11:1. What type piston do I need? Dished, flat or dome? Also what type are the stock ones and what is the combustion chamber size on the stock heads? Any help or advice would be appreciated.

With the stock (flat top) pistons you will be around 10.7:1 with .052 head gasket. You need a slight dome or mill the heads to achieve the compression you want.
The stock heads are 66cc~.
The stock heads are 66cc~.
