this cam in MTI 383
,,where i can buy it from and who had it in there cars.
also do i need to retunne my car after i install this cam
thanks.
You have to remember when using a bigger cam to achieve max results you need more air. It would suck to spend 400 dollars on a cam plus labor to see a small gain due to lack of air. It is extra hard on a bigger cubed motor.
I think the cam specs you listed sound very good. The duration could be a little different but looks great for a N20 car.
Just my oponion.
Another thing you will need to consider is PV (Piston to valve) clearence.
Depending on the pistons and on if the heads have been milled you might run into a problem there.
Defentially take that into consideration and do some research to find out if that cam will work. I know comp will custom grind something for you, and Thunder might as well.
Good luck
And yes I would defentially have the car retuned after a cam swap.
i have the MTI stg2 heads and how i can make the PV clearens and the engein is stil new i drive it 2 days aweek and naw is 1200 mile.i need to now if i can use this cam in my mti 383ci or i have to change my heads and go for stg3 ls6 soo ican use this cam
