Pushrods?
Pushrods? I am putting new LS6 heads on a 99 LS1 short, with the longer valves do I need a shorter pushrod? (what size). I will be using a TSP cam not the LS6 cam with the offset lobes.
You need to measure to be absolutely sure, All anyone can give you is a guess, You dont mention whether or not these heads have been surfaced any, that would make a difference., the cam will not determine what pushrods you run, lifters and heads will.
A pushrod measuring tool will let you know exactly what pushrods to use.
I have not heard of these valves being longer, it really would not make a difference, they will still only open off their seats the amount of lift the cam allows..

Without a doubt go to jegs and buy the $12 pushrod length checker AFTER everything is put together. It is the ONLY way to really get a good measurement.
A digital caliper of some sort will be needed as well.
