Default rebuilding 241s.. need input

Alright, I'm rebuilding a set of 241s and I'm wondering if I can combine a 2.02 intake valve with a 1.60 exhaust valve in these heads and not have any problems with clearance.. I already know the seats will need to be redone for the larger head diameter but I'm just wondering if that's all that will need to be done to get these valve sizes to fit, if they will fit..

The reason for the 241s is because I'm on a strict budget because I'm going through the entire engine to refresh the bottom end, which will still be a stocker, and the heads. I'm gonna be putting in a pretty big cam as well and I'm wanting to make the most power for the least amount of money possible..

Send it to AI for a good valve job. Keep the stock valves. That will be your best bang for buck$.

yeah im a believer in working 241s but dont see the advantage to adding bigger valves. i would rather put the money into porting or LS6 lightweight valves.

Another choice would be send them out and have them install stock size aftermarket valves that flow better than stock.

That's what I did.

Thanks for the input guys.. I have now changed my mind to the light weight LS6 valves and a good valve job.. Now what's the difference between a 3 angle and a 5 angle valve job?

Forget the light valves, the true difference is gonna be in the VJ and not all of these are equal. If you have the $$ to buy LS6 valves, then you have the $$ to get a set of 243s/799 and do a "Professional" VJ on them. (not by Jo Shmo but by a Pro like AI or TEA)

A vj and mill is more beneficial over bigger valves or ls6 valves
