Well I just bought the tsp 233/239 cam and want to get some heads a little later down the line, which are better the 5.3's pocket ported with intake and exhaust runners polished or stock ls1 heads with same head job as the 5.3's and what is the casting number if the 5.3's are better.

 

Ported LS1s will be better than 5.3s you describe, unless valves are changed in 5.3s and good vJ/port work is done on them.
On LS1s only need CNC, good VJ, the 2.0/1.55 valves will work fine for that cam. I would send those to AI for full treatment.
