Help with CR and DCR
Ok so I got a 98 TA...stock block and bottom end...doing a common head/cam swap
Heads are PRC Stage 2.5 5.3L heads
Cam specs are in image below
...so based off of here ...using the below numbers gives me a CR of 10.96:1
Bore = 3.9
Stroke = 3.62
Head Gasket Thickness = .054
Deck Height = -.0075
Piston Top Volume = 0.00
Combustion Chamber = 62
Using HERE and the stats below... I'm getting a DCR of 10.07:1
Bore = 3.9
Stroke = 3.62
CC = 62
Deck Height = -.0075
Gasket Thickness = .054
Dome/Dish/Valve Relief = 0
Piston Ring Height = .3
Piston to Bore Clearance = .0028
Connecting Rod Length = 7.4
Cam Intake Duration = 224
Cam Lobe Separation Angle = 111.2
Intake Valve closing angle = 39.4
Advance or retard =0
Am I right here? I need to fill out a tune form for Frost.
I'm using Fel Pro 9284PT head gaskets

Your connecting rod length is actually 6.098", not 7.400". That won't have a huge effect on your DCR number though.
Hard to say exactly the DCR without knowing the numbers at .006" of lift, but I plugged it into my calculator using XER lobes to get an idea where you are. Rounded off to be a 224/228 111LSA+4 (107 ICL gets your IVC where your cam card states it is) gets us very close to the VE's from your cam doctor report. Using those specs, you're right on your 10.95:1 static, but it will be about 8.80:1 dynamic.
