is LQ9 block a good block for boost?

Question is LQ9 block a good block for boost?

i see alot of guys using the LQ9 block for boost builds/ applications. is there a reason for this? thanks

There is a guy in the dyno section with a turbo lq4/9 putting something like 1300 to the tires with stock crank. Iron is your friend!

Was going to say the predominate reason I could see to this is it being an iron block so being able to handle more on the bottom end?

You are correct about iron being stout to hold the power that is why they are popular and the fact you can find them cheap, especially the lq4s
