L92 heads on a 5.3? need help please hello i have a 5.3 ls with 48,000 miles im planning to turbo i have a set of 806 heads i would like to use but from what ive read they no good...will l92 heads work on that bore of a 5.3 iron block or should i do a set of 317's?
Who ever told u they are no good, has very poor knowledge of ls motors
Theyre not the best but far from no good. U can use those heads or 241,317,243

i thank everyone for your knowledge..i just read on the threads the 806 castings are lowest flowing corvette head out there..i scored them for a great price on ebay and i figured with a good camshaft and ls1 intake with 60lb injectors my 68mm t4 should make good power with those heads i will have them ported i think
yea they are the lowest flowing but you are giving up 5cfm at the most as compared to a 241 head, at least so i have heard. They flow just fine, personally i would try to use a pair of 243's or 799's.
