Default Planning an LS V8 conversion

I have an '88 S10 that I'm trying to come up with a list for a V8 conversion. I plan on picking up a good used 5.3L for it. Not leaving well-enough alone, I "need" a head cam combo for this truck.

Give me your advice on what you would use for this combo.

Here's your guidelines:

This truck will be street driven. I'm thinking 2800-3000 stall in the stock 700R4. This trans is rebuilt already so I plan on using it. Based on the job I have that moves me around from time to time, I never know if/when I'll be subject to emissions, so the cam needs to be emissions-friendly. What is the biggest emissions-friendly cam I can use and match it to Patriot heads, P/N 2027?

..and no, I don't want a cam that I have to modify the tuning for and run chemicals in the tank in order to pass emissions when the time comes.

Default

i would look a getting a lq9 instead 5.3 are great for boost builds but due to there lack of compression and cubes they don't respond as well to h/c
and since lq9 will make the power easier, passing emissions will be easier
