Ready to fire it up, but question first!
Been sitting 18 months without being fired up.
Now the car is back together and it is ready to go.
I've changed the oil and filter
Here is the question; Should I prime the motor before starting to make sure the bearings are coated?
I was thinking about pulling all the plug wires and turning the motor over a few times before firing it up.
Is it necessary?
Thanks,
Jeff
The bearings are what take a beating without oil not the cyl walls on start up.
The crank for 30 seconds is way more time than what it will take for oil to get thru the engine when it is running.
Again prime it is the best every other way is not the best idea on these engines
