Man, you must've read my mind. I was going to call Thunder and ask the same question.

I have the TR224, but now that I have heads I want something bigger maybe in the 230 area. All the cams on their site are what I consider small to medium for stock heads. Also, I know the TR236 exists but it's not on their site, and the new TRx is just a bit too big for my tastes. I'd like to see them develop a strong, streetable cam that works great with ported heads. Maybe a single pattern or traditional split?

Maybe Jason from Thunder can comment on what they have in store for us. I love my Thunder cam but I need a bigger one now!

Craig

Good question. I'd like to see something just a wee bit smaller than the TReX.

Yeah, I would like to see Thunder use their lobes on something like a 222/228 .563/.563 on 114

It would be nice to see a line of bigger cams that can be somewhat street driven.
No damn 110 LSA. I have a automatic and wouldn't want a 110. I guess a 113 or 114 wouldn't be too bad.
So what's thunder????
some 236/236 595 602 112/114 sounds good.
Maybe a 232/238
Maybe a 236/232
something in these areas.
The 224's are still great but I defentially want something bigger, but not quite a T-rex.

Hummmm if the T-Rex is a 240+ duration and 600+ lift I wonder what a Brontasauras will be????????

With those duration cams and the 114 you would be spinning your engine close to 7000 rpm at peak power.

With the 232-236-ish duration you really should consider the 112 and under lsa if you have a stock bottom end. I would want to keep my stock bottom end under 6500-6600 rpm...maybe I'm just the nervous type though.

Exactly. Also, if the LSA isn't 112 or lower the cam is going to peak over 7,000 rpms!!
I don't think I'll be winding mine out that high. Well, not yet atleast

Yeah I know you would have to shift high, I didn't think it was 7000, but figured around 6700. I did however write 112/114.
A 112 LSA would work.
And how is LG motorsports making peak at like 6500/6600 with the G5X3 cam on a 114?????????????????
The G5X2 was a 232/240 602/610 112 (something around that)and the G5X3 is bigger.
Explain that please.

There is a lot more to peak power than just the camshaft. The LSA is a big contributor but you have look at the whole package like heads, intake and exhaust. The power band of the same cam can vary several hundred RPM depending on the periferals around it.
