I have a question, tried the search function, didn't find anything on the subject.
I have a set of Stage 2 LS1 Heads that I'd like to use on a 6.0 Iron block. I am preparing to build a 400+ci motor. These heads flow 300I/222E. I know that probably isn't enough to support that motor to the tune of 500RWHP.
But what I'd like to know is if they will work at all properly, being that the LS1 cylinder is a 3.900 bore, and the finished cylinder on my 6.0 block will be 4.030 bore. I am considering bringing them to a local place to having them opened to match the bore.
I wonder if leaving them how they are will affect quench and compression.
Any and all info would be helpful...
