Default Piston identification

I bought a rotating assembly that the seller said was out of a low mile LS6. Looks almost new but one piston was dropped. I wasn't planning on using them but after seeing the condition I'd like to use the other 7.

How do I know which part number to buy as a replacement. It is made by Mahle which is stamped inside. Also has black "paint" on each side.the only number I see is a ++L766 or it could be 99L7++

The rod has a 43 and a RM at the cap end. Any ideas??

best bet is to call MAHLE they are gonna be the ones to help ID the piston.

I thought about that but these are stock pistons I was hoping to find a fm part number. I guess I could call the dealer....wouldn't mind finding a used one.

I think these maybe 04 LS6 pistons part number 89017581. Just wish I could confirm without spending 100 bucks on a replacement! If they are money well spent. If not I have an interesting coffee table peice.
