Default t-rex cam

thinking about pickin up a trex cam with stock 243's. will i need to flycut the pistons?

Stock 243's that haven't been milled? Stock block & internals? Shouldn't have to flycut if your answer is "Yes" to both questions. Buy and measure... if it doesn't fit (I don't see why it wouldn't), reselling a big dick cam is usually pretty easy. Good luck on your build.

^^ This.

That is a big cam, and has worked for a lot of people, but it didn't work for me. When the heads were off on my car with that cam, I noticed that the valves had made notches in the pistons. We did measure with a dial indacator, and it was pretty close. I've been told that the trex will sometimes "kiss" the pistons. GL

I just bought Trex cam package and stock 243 heads. Should be into the build next week if all parts get here. They say it will fit with no problem but im gonna clay for safety. If its too close im gonna flycut and get diff. head gaskets to bump compression
