It's not much if any. Anything is possible. The first owner did all this stuff some time between 99-04. Second owner did nothing to it except maintain it and didn't know anything was done to it besides the shorty headers. Only thing the 2nd owner did was change plugs and wires...he used bosch or autolite plugs and I'm sure he didn't check gaps and put cheap autozone wires on.

So wed. I am gonna put in tr-55 plugs and msd wires and see if the idle smooths out. That may be the cause of the rough idle. It still prob. has the LS6 cam though based on what was changed in the tune.

Ok guys. I put in the new TR5 plugs and msd wires. The car definitely idles smoother but this car definitely has something bigger than an LS6 cam. It made the sound more noticeable. I hope to get it dynoed soon. Here is a video (cutout open). I hope someone can help me figure out what it sounds close to that was popular back when the first owner had it between 99-04.

Sounds like my TR224-114 but I haven't heard alot of cammed ls1's.
They were real popular back when I bought my car in 04 then the Futral
grinds overshadowed them. My guess would be something in the low
220 range. Post your rpm in the video and that will help these guys
narrow it down for you. Mine is real lopey at 550rpm but at 800rpm
you can hardly tell I have a cam.

It does sound like it has a cam, but it's going to be impossible to tell what kind it is unless you do this vvvvv

they set the idle to 900 rpm. I'll try to get a better camera. It's more noticeable in person.

oh yeah that's definitely cammed. sounds like a TSP 220/220 114 lsa. it's slightly smoother than my 224r 114 lsa.

but the only way to be sure is to get the numbers off the face of the cam like stated earlier.

Pop a valve cover and see if it's running aftermarket springs. The only way to tell anything about what cam it has it with a degree wheel and a dial gauge.

A burned valve will also make it idle rough. Just saying.
