Default need advice

got my lq9 tore down. its got 84k miles on it but i was a bit supprised to see so much carbon on the pistons. the cam bearings are warn into the copper. i pulled one piston out and the rod bearings look good. can still see good cross hatch on the cylinder walls. so do i get new cam bearings and call it good? or all new bearings and rings? ive even been thinking about a 408 stroker? any advice?

This weekend o went to NAPA, paid $29 for rod bearings and $97 for mains... if I were you I'd do the same... get yourself a case of brakekleen too and clean out everything... especially the oil passages, because there had to be a reason for the cam bearings to go.
