Help needed. Quick EVAP question
Hi all,
Lurker here. First post. Have a '98 Camaro "Sport Coupe" with LS1. Old South Carolina police car.
When I bought the car, the line going into the EVAP cannister was burned/ melted off. It also melted a couple wires to two coil packs. I have fixed everything and the car runs great but I am worried about that cannister. Can I just leave this line vented to outside air or will I be having another mini fire when it vents?
Thanks for the help in advance! Any suggestions are appreciated.

I guess its possible since it happened the first time. Fuel fumes are flamable....
Also having it disconnected should throw a check engine light.
Snap a couple pics and post them. Maybe it wont be too hard to hook it up as its supposed to be.
