Default Stripped Coolant Sensor Hole

Was putting on my new heads and over tightened the coolant sensor, now the head is stripped where thew sensor screws in. Is there any way to repair this? Please Help!!!

You could try retapping it, or if needed, drill it out and use an adapter bung

Find what the tread pitch is on the sensor and get a helicoil and put in it, There stronger than the factory threads. I use them all the time at work.. Best thing sense light bread LOL......

Or tap it out to a bigger thread and plug it off, And put the sensor in the passenger side head in the rear, you will haft to lengthen the harness, no big deal to do that

Thanks! I'll try the heli coil first and go from there.
