what coils will replace old ls1 style?
what coils will replace old ls1 style? i have some old tired 98 style ls1 coils, the are getting weak and its time to replace them. the coils are remote mounted so brackets arent a issue what i need to know is what part number coils will plug into my harness. my coils are part number 12558948 and the ones i found are 12573190 but they are bare so i need to know if they will plug into the pigtails i already have. if not what should i look for. being a turbo car i wouldnt mind a hotter coil while at it.
i also just found a set for sale off a 2000 tahoe 5.3 they are complete will they work? they have a heat sink that mine dont have. also will my computer have any problems firing or running different coils then original ls1 style? the reason i ask is i heard some stand alone engine managements ask you to specify what coil your using making me think there is a difference.

i found some truck coils but i see some have a exposed heat sink and some dont, is there a difference ? the ones with the heat sink are harder to get the ones with out i can get pretty easy.
