Cleaning deposits in intake
Whats the best stuff to use to get the buildup out of the intake?
It's crusted up pretty bad in there. I tried some purple degreaser and worked OK on the outside but not so much on the hard buildup inside. Then I tried some GOJO hand cleaner and it was better than the purple stuff but still not great.
Scraping with a butter knife seems to work OK too but cant reach real deep especially where it makes that curve up inside.

I took mine off the car, and set it on the TB flange in the garage on a crappy towel. Sprayed the runners over and over again with some engine degreaser over a span of 2 days, then took blue dawn dishsoap and sprayed that inside as well. Then hosed it out with a pressure washer. Took all the gunk completely out of the intake.

If the intake is off of the engine, which it definitely sounds like, just toss the intake in an orange home depot bucket with lukewarm water and dawn dishsoap. Let it soak. Repeat.
