I have a 98z28m6 with 106,000miles Lts, lid, 4.11, and p&p tb. When I punch threw first and second and I let off fast every once in a while it will make a pow sound guessing back fire. Is this something to worry about or what is it?

it means you need a tune, sounds like you have long tubes.

 

unburnt fuel igniting, mine used to do it all the time. Different setup now.

 

my 01 m6 does this when cold. its basically stock with a volant intake and flowmaster muffler.
