Default Help for next mods

Hello everyone. My current mods are in the sig. I am planning to get either a BBK intake or LS6 within the next month or so. After that I am alittle unsure. I have been researching the vengeance 575 heads/cam kit but I am not sure if its for me. I am looking for a streetable combo that doesnt buck down low or lose too much low end torque. I have also been looking into the ms3 cam but it seems that alot of people say its too big for a street cam? I am not setting dyno goals but I would be happy with a mid 11 second car.

My only problem is I still have the stock 10 bolt and stock clutch. Should I replace those first?

If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great. I have never done a heads/cam swap before.

For the money/ gains is look at the ls6 intake over the BBK intake unless your planning on going FI in the future. If you put money out for a good 9" or 12 bolt with the gears you want in it for after your heads cam swap you won't have to worry about snapping an axle.

As for clutch I'm the wrong one to ask since I run an auto.

You can go with a 228 or slightly bigger and still have very good drivability if you have the right gears, just might not be able to cruise in 6th gear at as low a mph

Yeah everyone is telling me to go ls6 or a used fast set up. I think for me the toughest part is going to be choosing a cam. There are just so many options. I am also still trying to decide if I should do a cam first and see if thats enough power for me or just do heads/cam at the same time.

Whichever you do decide to do contact afew cam companies with as much info as you can on your car and goals for it to let them give you the best options for YOU and YOUR driving habits. One person might love the street manners of a cam where someone else might think its way too much... a lot of it OS perspective.

If you can, find someone near you with a cammed car and take it for a drive do you can get the feel of one. I tell people if they aren't sure what they want to go with around a 228 because of my experience and my personal taste.... I started out with a 220/224 and after a few days I wished I had gone bigger....then I went with a 238/242 and loved it, but it was alitttle more bitchy than most people would like...I loved it and drove this setup over 50 miles a day.
