Scared about my cam situation.

Scared about my cam situation.
I want a cam thats streetable but that also has quite a bit of lope. Well I got a good deal on a MTI T1 (221/221 .558/.558 112LSA), well my brother has an LT4 hot cam (218/228 .525/.525 114lsa) and I am told mine won;t lope as much as his because I have 221/221 duration and his is different and not straight duration like mine. Any truth to this? Thanks

A lot of it will depend on the idle speed of the two cars. I doubt there would be much difference in lope if both were idling at the same speed, but I could be wrong. My friend's 230/236 114LSA cam sounds comparable to my 222/224 112LSA cam. I believe his idles at 800 and mine at 750.

I have a T1 too. At a 700-750 idle it lopes pretty damn well. Hell, I raise it up to 800-850 for emissions testing (just so they won't give me weird looks) and it still has an obvious lope to it. Full exhaust too (stock cats and all). You won't be disappointed. It's a smallish cam, 221/221 like you said, but the 112LSA will keep the lope going.
